EARTHQUAKE?!
i thought it was building construction — and i was in the middle of a phone interview when it happened! at least the guy won’t think i’m crazy now (“i think my building just shook…no, it was not the train…”)

oh. baby. i met up with a friend from college today at num pang and it was seriously amazing. like, i-need-five-napkins kind of amazing. i had the ginger barbecue brisket with pickled red cabbage (above, and described more extensively by someone else here). my friend got the coconut tiger shrimp, which was also really delicious. now i have go back and try the corn…and another sandwich…
what is your goddamn deal? how did your ticket prices increase over the course of two hours on a sunday afternoon? seriously?
now my trip to new york is going to cost an extra $80, and you know what? i’m flying southwest instead. because if i’m going to pay the same amount, i might as well fly with someone who likes things like free luggage (not that i’m taking any) and lets you change your flight without charging you $100+ (not that i plan to change it).
spite. there is spite in my heart, and it’s all your fault.
sincerely,
kim
(SIDE NOTE: i’ll be in new york april 7-11!! excited, as usual)
yum yum yummy.
i’ve actually had two of these, the hibiscus (top left) and the dulce de leche (bottom middle), at dough in brooklyn and they’re delicious. now this article (and especially the slide show) makes me really want to try peter pan and the doughnut plant…!
